Are you interested in researching the impact of digital technology on the future of work and the welfare state? Join our research team in the project “European welfare states and the challenge of platform work” at the Swiss Graduate School of Public Administration (IDHEAP).

**Job information**:
Expected start date in position : 01.07.2023 or to be agreed

Contract length : 1 year, renewable up to 4 years in total

Activity rate : 100%

Workplace : IDHEAP

**Your responsibilities**:
The project takes a comparative approach, using observational and experimental research designs to examine how welfare institutions interact with platform labor. Your doctoral research will focus on how social policies and labor market regulations influence the motivations of workers and consumers participating in the platform economy.

**Your qualifications**:

- Master’s degree, or new completion, in political science, sociology or related disciplines.
- Ability to perform quantitative research, and willingness to refine your methodological skills.
- Interest in researching platform labor, welfare state and labor market policies. Previous experience with those topics is a plus.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
