**Your team**:

- The Pictet Research Institute is a newly established investment research capability within Pictet Group, launched in 2024. The Institute will engage Pictet’s economists, macro strategists, analysts and dedicated researchers to provide insights into long-term investment topics - from strategic asset allocation to capital market structures, global economic trends, sustainability and beyond.- We are looking for a recent PhD Graduate to join and develop the Pictet Investment Research Institute in a two year programme.**Your role**:

- Contributing to research projects of importance to the Pictet Institute.
- Producing original research in collaboration with internal researchers and investment professionals on a wide variety of research topics with investment implications for our firm.
- Taking part in research collaborations with academics or other external research experts.
- Working closely with the Head of the Pictet Institute to formulate the research methodology of the projects and perform the empirical analysis.
- Generating presentations based on the research output and helping to prepare the communication materials.

**Your profile**:

- PhD in Finance, Economics or a related field.
- Strong background in econometrics, statistics and data analysis.
- Strong coding skills in Matlab, Python and SQL.
- Research experience in at least one asset class with a willingness to expand into others, including alternatives.
- Solid knowledge of portfolio theory, portfolio optimisation techniques and dynamic asset allocation would be a plus.
- At ease working with other researchers or investment professionals as well as alone, as necessary.
- Interest in ESG.
- Excellent command of English.
- Must be resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
