**FPT Motorenforschung AG** in Arbon has around 250 highly qualified employees

working with commitment and acknowledged success. As the main innovation center for

FPT Industrial, the site is involved in developing future powertrain solutions (not only in

electrified powertrains, hybrids and fuel cells, but also novel engines concepts and

alternative fuels) and is therefore at the forefront of a transition towards a future of

alternative propulsion systems.

We would like to fill the following position as soon as possible:
**Team Leader Experimental Structural Analysis
You will actively be involved into new powertrain development projects, problem solving

activities, component material definition, production process review, quality process

resources.

**Your tasks**
- Leading of the Experimental Structural Analysis team in all technical and

personnel aspects. Planning and organizing of all teams’ activities
- Ensuring flow of information, with report writing and presentations
- Participation in project reviews, budget processing and cost controlling
- Developing, producing and maintaining group performance metrics
- Demonstrating managerial courage and displaying initiative to take action in

supporting product development, design and quality teams
- Performing operating strain, temperature, pressure, etc. measurements with

subsequent data analysis and result extraction
- Continuously improving existing methodologies and thrive for new methodology

development
- Mentoring of team members to share and improve groups knowledge

**Your profile**
- Master’s Degree in Engineering
- 10+ years of working experience in the field of experimental structural mechanics,

with proven expertise in material science and technology including material
structures, fatigue, fracture mechanics and failure analysis of ferrous and non
- ferrous alloys
- Experience within the automotive industry, ideally focused on combustion

engines and drive trains
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes including casting, forging, welding and

heat treatments
- Basic knowledge of finite element methods would be an advantage
- Proven leadership ability as well as mentoring skills
- Strong personality with integrity, honesty, accountability and trust
- Travel domestically and internationally up to 20% if needed
- Good knowledge of both English and German (Level C1 or higher)
- Italian would be advantageous
