**PhD position in structural biology of Fe-S proteins**
Research in the Kassube group focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms of Fe-S protein biogenesis and DNA repair. We employ state-of-the-art structural biology methods in combination with biochemical and biophysical techniques to obtain mechanistic insights into the inner workings of multiprotein complexes involved in Fe-S protein biogenesis and DNA repair.
**Your responsibilities**: As a PhD student in the Kassube group, you will employ biochemical, biophysical and structural methods to shed light on the molecular mechanisms of Fe-S proteins and their biogenesis. You will be responsible for planning and executing experiments, analyzing results, and presenting your findings.
**Your profile**: We are looking for an enthusiastic person with the following qualifications:
- Master's degree in biochemistry or a related field
- Practical experience in molecular biology and protein biochemistry
- Experience in structural biology preferred
- Curious mindset and a strong interest in molecular mechanisms of proteins
- Personal drive and commitment to science
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (German is not required)
