We are recruiting an **Assistant Banquet Operations Manager**

**Main Responsibilities**:

- To supervise and participate in running of an efficient and profitable operation in the areas for which you are responsible. Liaise with your manager to actively encourage a professional and dedicated team.
- To assist the Banquet Operations Manager in enabling colleagues to consistently achieve the service and product delivery standards with a high degree of client care and service at all times
- Oversees the set-up and operation of a station/section in function rooms.
- To co-ordinate the service of food and beverage efficiently and accurately.
- To report and follow up all maintenance defaults affecting efficient and professional delivery of service.
- To involve with service related to VIP guests
- To respond proactively to guest queries, ensuring that appropriate action is taken in the absence of the manager/assistant, followed by effective communication
- To identify and carry out any specific training and development needs among the team
- To perform and check all duties related to restaurant opening/closing check list
- Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Banquet Manager
- To carry out and supervise daily, weekly and monthly inventory
- To maintain and order all the store requisition
- To prepare and maintain Buffet Tags
- To maintain all Hotel assets
- Assist Manager with conducting daily communication meeting with staff prior to shift
- Excellent knowledge of food and beverage to be able to service and up-sell the product
- Coordinate all aspects of service to include but not limited to:

- Food and beverage requirements
- Timing of events
- Special attention guests
- Table setup
- Special requests
- Complimentary dessert/ drinks etc.
- Billing instructions
- Authorized signatures
- Assist Manager with the recruitment of new colleagues, training, and development.
- Assist Manager with the monthly departmental meeting.

**Job Requirements**:

- High School qualification or equivalent
- Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management is preferred
- A minimum of 2/3 years of experience as Maitre D'
- French & English mandatory
- Standards driven and motivational leader
- You will have exceptional inter-personal, management and organizational skills.
- Must be of smart appearance with excellent personal hygiene standards
