**Global Product Manager_IEEE Instrument Transformers**:

In this role you will be accountable for product line IEEE Instrument transformers and the long-term profitable growth and marketing of the ABB offering to targeted market segments, by developing and managing it through all of its life cycle phases, according to market needs and Global Product Group (GPG) Control and Protection Products (CPP) strategy and targets. You will also be ensuring that initiatives are deployed across the organization in line with ELDS CPP strategy. You will be reporting to Global Product Manager for Instrument transformers and Sensors.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Lead market intelligence analysis. Understand and define current market segmentation and related product positioning. Gather and analyze market intelligence and establish long term vision for future offering. Understand and define market segmentation and related product positioning. Identify potential gaps in portfolio, both against competition and new market opportunity.
- Own the technical, market specification for the product/system/service, and determine a product business plan that supports sustainable growth. Lead life cycle management process, analyze current product/system/service, define and track performance metrics, plan appropriate measures (e.g. enhancements, cost reductions, phase-outs) and make decisions on product obsolescence and end-of life to ensure current and future market requirements are met and maximize profitability.
- Act as interface between external market and internal functions (e.g. Sales, Operations, and Research & Development), forecasting volume trends on a regular basis to ensure Operation’s capability to fulfil customer orders. Set targets and monitor product costs, giving inputs to Operations functions (e.g. Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Production) to maximize competitiveness and profitability.
- Define new product plans, set technical, price, cost and capital expenditure targets. Contribute to development of new portfolios by leading customer need and value analysis, planning the roadmap to create maximum value, follow-up of product portfolio performance. Actively join in developing product management processes and tools, including interfaces to other key functions of the organization. Initiate and drive cross-functional and cross-organization product and solution innovation teams according to market needs.
- Initiate and drive product market communication strategy, including product launch planning and implementation. Manage different channel to market scenarios in coordination with channel partners and Marketing & Sales to ensure best market coverage. Define product customer value proposition per segment and channel and ensure clear communication to channels and users, to deliver clear product positioning within the portfolio with defined values per product/system/service line.
- Responsible for product profitability and margin. Drive the annual business planning process and facilitate agreement between sales demand and supply. Monitor global sales target fulfilment and tender volumes and act as appropriate.
- Continuously develop product management processes and tools, including interfaces to other key functions and develop sales and tendering tools to support the Sales organization. Initiate and drive cross functional and cross-organization product and solution innovation teams. Ensure (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed.

**Your background**:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent qualification
- Experience in Product Management, Marketing & Sales or Research & Development
- Work in multicultural environment, self-confident, diplomatic, energetic, open mindedness
- Strong communication and leadership skills and ability to guide, coach and mentor others, analytical and conceptual thinking, strategic thinking
- Entrepreneurial thinking and acting, decisiveness, result orientation
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, with strong communication and relationship building skills with colleagues of other departments
- Fluency in English language both written and verbal
