This post is located in the Evaluation, Analysis and Monitoring Section (EAMS), Central Planning and Coordination Service (CPCS), Division of Conference Management (DCM), Department for General Assembly and Conference Management, Geneva. The incumbent reports to the Chief of Section.

**Responsibilities**:
Under the supervision of the Chief of Evaluation, Analysis and Monitoring Section, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:

- Assists with the preparation of input for response to requests for exploration, identification, and acquisition of data sources to determine their suitability for use in decision making and advancing the goals of the organization.
- Assists in supporting key clients to leverage the use of data science methods through solutions agreed by the team and in accordance with established procedures.
- Assists with the preparation of input for the design and development of data science products.
- Assists in providing client training and developing products, tools and processes to extend the capabilities of client offices.
- Adjusts customized visualization and presentation products to reveal the findings of analysis for clients.
- Assists with the preparation of data sets and responds to queries; and maintains/updates reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

TECHNOLOGICAL AWARENESS:
Education
High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Work Experience

Two (2) years of experience in conference management related activities, preferably in the United Nations Common System or similar international organizations is desirable.

Experience in optimization modeling is desirable.

Experience in building data science solutions in Python is desirable.

Experience in building monitoring and reporting solutions in Power BI is desirable.

Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of French is desirable. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is desirable.
