The NCHC Global Tax Group is recruiting for a Global Indirect Tax Director. This position is based in Switzerland and will report to the Tax Accounting & Operations Vice President.
**Additional responsibilities include**:
- Leadership Team member for the Tax Accounting & Operations team, including participating in global enterprise tax meetings, as well as succession planning and calibration meetings at the global enterprise level
- Lead team of about 18 indirect tax specialists
- Manage the global relationship with the co-source provider(s) for indirect tax work
- Manage a multi-billion-dollar indirect tax liability globally
- Develop and pursue strategies which reduce the company’s overall global indirect tax risk profile, improve cash flow, and ensure a standardized process for compliance with all relevant tax laws
- Overall lead in interpreting & managing indirect tax policy globally
- Ensure efficient deployment of best practices and management of risks
- Act as an internal expert monitoring indirect tax legislation globally
- Lead and develop a team of dedicated indirect tax professionals situated globally to ensure collaboration and partnering with various NCHC tax teams, IT, supply chain) and business partners
- Serve as primary indirect tax internal contact for designated stakeholder groups within Finance, Supply Chain (including Trade Compliance) and Tax
- Govern and continually improve operational compliance and co-sourced engagements
- Review/provide oversight on compliance processes to ensure planning initiatives and changes are successfully implemented
- Work with internal and external experts to develop global indirect tax planning ideas, including incentives
- Collaborate with the Global Tax Disputes team on indirect tax disputes strategy
- Demonstrate a strong combination of ownership, business understanding and a willingness to be hands-on in all aspects of NCHC global indirect tax
- Provide guidance and technical input in technology projects acquisitions/divestitures, supply chain initiatives, and internal and external audit
- Collaborate on enterprise initiatives as required
**Qualifications** Position Requirements**:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required
- A major in Accounting/Finance is required
- An MST, MBA, CPA CMA and/or other financial certifications is preferred
- A minimum of 12+ years’ experience in finance/accounting/indirect tax or related business is required
- A minimum of 6+ years’ experience leading teams, coaching and mentoring staff
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of tools and an intermediate to advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel is required
- Deep indirect tax technical skills are required
- Fluency in English is required
- Broad experience in managing consultants and service providers
- Financial and factual analytical abilities (data, fact patterns, external tax/legal frameworks) are required
- The ability to anticipate changing requirements and effectively plan across the enterprise landscape is required
- Individual must work well in a team environment; be able to recommend and implement process improvements and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to recognize sensitive areas/decision points which require management input is required
- Ability to switch priorities quickly and expedite key tasks to meet business needs and manage risk in a fast-changing external environment is required
