Your main accountabilities will include but not be limited to:

- Unites and further develops the PKS TAs as a single function within PKS
- Manages TA Heads and leads PKS TA Leadership Team
- Represents TAs on PKS Leadership Team (PKS-LT)
- Accountable for TA-LT agenda, meetings, work streams and projects
- Assumes ultimate authority and responsibility to ensure that scientifically tailored, and regulatory compliant project specific PK and clinical pharmacology plans are in place for every identified project at all stages, every TA, modality and every geography within the portfolio. Critical relationship manager across NIBR and GDD stakeholders including TM FLT, Disease Areas, Global Discovery Chemistry, NBC, Global Drug Development Units to optimize project continuity, quality, speed and delivery against divisional goals
- Drives close interdisciplinary collaboration among the PK science functions (DD, M&S, PBOP) through the PTMs and PK science sub-teams to achieve a holistic and integrative perspective of the PK properties.
- Leads and encourages the exploration and integration of cutting edge technologies and innovative data science-based approaches to PKS across all TAs
- Ensures recruitment and career development of TA Heads and PTMs through active participation in the performance management and talent planning processes. Provides on-boarding, training, and mentoring support
- Ensures PTMs have the skills and experience required to provide expert project support for projects at all stages of research and development and for all therapeutic modalities. Accountable for creating a standardized PTM role profile and aligning the expectations from the role across TAs
- Establish One-PKS mindset across TAs and ensure optimal PTM resource allocation
- May serve as a Head for a PKS Therapeutic Area (on needs’ basis) as an add-on responsibility

**Minimum requirements**

What you will bring to the role:
Ideal Background

Education requirement: Doctorate degree or equivalent education/degree in life science/healthcare required. Board certification in clinical pharmacology would be an advantage

Experience/Professional requirement:

- Demonstrated managerial and leadership skills in a global setting
- 10 years’ experience in a PK field of a pharmaceutical based company, Clinical Research Organization (CRO) or equivalent academic experience
- Proven track record of building and leading high performing teams and developing team culture in line with organizational values
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of drug discovery and development and demonstrated specialized expertise in certain PK aspects. Familiar with respective health authority, GCP and ICH requirements.
- Knowledge of different therapeutic areas, encompassing business strategy and trends.
- Innovative and critical thinking. Process and performance orientation, characterized by constant drive to improve working practice.
- Successful development, registration and launch of multiple global products.
- Successful development and implementation of innovative PK programs and processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with successful presentation capabilities.
- Excellent team work in a multidisciplinary, matrix environment
