An exciting opportunity exists for a Learning and Development Professional to join our newly created luxury travel brand “Explora Journeys” to implement the brand Learning strategy to set up and develop the learning experience of our team
Explora Journeys is a vibrant, cosmopolitan, European luxury brand, imagined in the heart of Swiss Hospitality and luxury in Geneva. Leveraging our parent company MSC Group's hundreds of years of maritime expertise, our fleet of four ships (currently in the pipeline) have been built and designed in a totally different and unique way that will transform and redefine the cruise experience, creating a category of its own, appealing to the next generation of luxury travelers.
- A minimum of 5 years of Learning & Development experience with a global scope in cruise, airlines industries or hospitality;
- Experience in Luxury Cruise\/Hospitality is a must;
- Experience in organizing mass learning activities in different geographies is an advantage;
- Experience in designing customer experience programmes is highly preferred;
- Experience with Adobe Captivate Prime, Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, and InDesign is desirable;
- Proficient in English. Any additional language is considered an advantage;
- Flexibility to travel.
- Lead the Learning and development strategy to implement brand, guest experience service and leadership programmes;
- Design and develop on-brand digital and blended learning content for every brand programme and follow through from concept to delivery;
- Identify and implement innovative learning methods, channels and tools that provide a cosmopolitan, refined, learning experience to all levels of our team shoreside and shipboard (Videos creating, LMS, SCORM and others);
- Design and implement the employee’s learning journey ensuring a smooth experience at all stages of the process from the hiring moment until the day-to-day performance;
- Liaise and coordinate the implementation of all brand programmes in the different teams both shoreside and shipboard;
- Deal with educational institutions and learning providers to ensure relevant learning offerings to every level of our team;
- Own Learning Management System - Set Up, develop, monitor, evaluate and improve learning paths and curricula.
VISA REQUIREMENTS (if any) Part of the MSC Group, MSC Cruises is the market leader in the Mediterranean, South Africa and South America, and sails year-round in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. Its seasonal itineraries cover northern Europe, the Atlantic Ocean, South America, southern Africa, and the Persian/Arabian Gulf. As a result of a euro 6.5 billions investment programme launched in 2003, MSC Cruises' fleet comprises 13 state-of-the-art cruise ships belonging to four different classes: Lirica, Musica, Fantasia and Meraviglia. The fleet's average age is 7 years, the youngest in the industry. In 2014, MSC Cruises launched a euro 9 billion, 10 year investment plan to support the second phase of its growth through the order of up to 11 next generation mega cruise ships. As a result, MSC Cruises' fleet will double by 2026, while the passenger capacity will triple to reach five million passengers per year. MSC Cruises is the first cruise company to develop an investment plan of this length and magnitude. MSC Cruises feels a deep responsibility for the environments in which it operates, and was the first company ever to earn the Bureau Veritas "7 Golden Pearls" for superior management and environmental stewardship.
