**Internship DSP Development & Modelling**:

**About the role**

Preferred start date: Q2 2024
Duration: 6 months
Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Contribute to the development of mathematical models to characterize the DSP production system and its dynamic
- Design, planning, and execution of experiments to support model development activities, model vali-dation, and process optimization/characterization
- Support ongoing app development by striving to develop and/or extend your programming skills

**Role Requirements**

**Requirements**:

- Master or PhD graduate in a relevant field as chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, bioprocess technology, bioinformatics, or similar with a strong background on process modelling (mechanistic, data-driven and/or hybrid models)
- Knowledge on DSP processes with the interest and ability to work in that field
- Experience working in a chemical/biological lab environment
- Demonstrated programming skills (R, Python, or MATLAB) and knowledge of Machine Learning algo-rithms is desired
- Experience in app development (e.g. Streamlit, Dash, Shiny) and/or mathematical optimization would be beneficial
- Excellent ability to build collaborative relationships and a can-do mind-set
- Proficiency in oral and written English with strong communication and presentation skills
