The Analytical Development Biochemistry group in Basel plays a vital role in innovating healthcare by creating unique medicines for unmet medical needs. Through our internship program, we offer talented students the chance to gain valuable work experience as part of their university degree.
In this position, you will
- Enhance current platforms and scripts using R programming and Google Cloud Platform
- Develop data science methods to support innovation projects
- Assist in modeling for predictions based on spectroscopic data using R scripts

Who you are
You are eager to expand your knowledge in spectroscopy-based predictors and Google Cloud Platform. You have a passion for new technologies and enjoy interacting with others.
EU/EFTA Students: Currently enrolled in Bachelor's or Master's studies in Bioinformatics, Data Science, IT, or related fields, or graduated after January 2023.
Non-EU/EFTA students must provide a university certificate stating the internship's mandatory nature and maintain enrollment throughout the internship.
Additionally, you are/have:
- Highly motivated and scientifically inclined
- Strong communication skills and sociable personality
- Proficiency in programming languages like R, Python, SQL
- Interest in pharmaceutical analytics
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform is beneficial
- Fluency in English and/or German, French is a plus
The internship is set to start in February 2024, but flexibility can be discussed in the cover letter.
