As Senior Procurement Manager based in Zürich, Switzerland, you will manage multiple categories/ subcategories and projects of increased complexity, operates with significant autonomy and discretion, influence other internal teams and may manage multiple direct reports.
In this role you will define and own the capabilities, strategies and innovation roadmap for your region (Asia & Europe) and team. You will develop key innovation activities, enhance the capability of the Procurement team with two experienced tactical buyers, and promote the Procurement function internally and externally. You will lead in creating the procurement of tomorrow and work side-by-side with your stakeholders to deliver the best end customer experience.

- Evaluates key spending in electronic components such as chips, semi conductors, as well CapEx in terms of performance, and compliance data to lead supplier or category decisions.
- Builds mechanisms and leads initiatives to ensure that suppliers' costs don't extend beyond established goals. Constantly seeks ways to reduce spending and

- demonstrates the ability to advise business owners on whether a given purchase is reasonable and justified.
- Determines which suppliers should be positioned for long-term contracts based on the suppliers' overall value to the business. Establishes and implements standards for partnering with these suppliers.
- Establishes supplier diversity/sourcing targets and expands current supplier selection options accordingly. Regularly evaluates these targets to raise the bar in terms of deliverables.
- Operates with significant autonomy and discretion.
**Desired qualifications**:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Marketing or Engineering (Preferably Electrical).
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in purchasing electronic components, semiconductors, or electronic devices, effectively negotiate complex purchases.
- Strong implementation and execution skills.
- Understand contracting terms & condition and good in drafting complex contracts of Multi Millions USD.
- Have experience in procurement transformations, in risk management.
- Earned trust and respect of the team and build positive working relationships by consistently making good decisions, keeping commitments, treating others and their ideas with respect.
- Demonstrated persistence skills. You speak up when you see problems that sit outside of your area - and you don't let go of them until they are resolved.
- Hands on experience in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and analytical platforms, including but not limited to the ability to analyze data using pivots and V-Lookups.
- Export knowledge in Switzerland, EU (Export. Dip.) will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work with ambiguity.
- Must be highly self-motivated and customer-centric.
- Proficient in English and German. Additional Asian language (CN, MY) strong plus.
**Preferred Qualification**:
- MSc in procurement & Supply Chain Management is preferable
