**Job description**:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced **Category Manager** to join the team of our client in the **energy market**. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement and management of goods and services within the energy sector, ensuring that the organization maintains a competitive edge in this rapidly evolving industry.

**Responsibilities**:

- ** Strategic Sourcing**: Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to optimize costs, quality, and supplier relationships within the energy market.
- ** Supplier Management**: Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to secure favorable agreements while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations.
- ** Market Analysis**: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes within the energy market.
- ** Risk Management**: Assess and mitigate risks associated with supplier relationships, market fluctuations, and regulatory changes, ensuring continuity of supply and minimizing potential disruptions.
- ** Performance Monitoring**: Monitor supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), driving continuous improvement initiatives and resolving any issues or discrepancies as they arise.
- ** Collaboration**: Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and engineering teams, to align procurement strategies with business objectives and ensure seamless integration of energy solutions.
- ** Compliance**: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing procurement activities within the energy sector, maintaining the highest ethical standards in all dealings.

**Profile**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Several years of experience in procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing within the energy industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and delivering cost savings initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with relevant energy markets, technologies, and regulatory frameworks.
