**Context of the role**

Data is at the core of smart buildings, it enables more sustainable and energy-efficient buildings, improved building occupant health, safety and experience and more operational efficiency over the complete lifecycle. As Manager Data Strategy, you continuously explore and leverage the opportunities that stem from combining and analyzing different data sources such as OT data, user interaction, CRM data, etc. and the customer value that can be created from them.

**Your new responsibilities**
- Develop and ensure consistent implementation of a comprehensive data strategy for our product and software offering - including data vision, data governance, tech infrastructure, legal framework, go-to-market, monetization - in collaboration with a diverse set of internal stakeholders such as Product Management, R&D, Legal, Sales & Marketing, Finance, etc.
- Identify the critical data points together with our Product Managers that will improve our offerings and enable ecosystem collaboration; identify opportunities for monetization
- Collaborate and support teams working on ecosystem strategy, business model development, data-driven internal operational improvements
- Understand the implication of data for business models
- Anticipate data-related customer needs with our Product Managers, Sales and UX experts
- Keep track of market developments on data strategy and (regional) policies
- Lead the cultural shift towards a data-driven mindset and portfolio through awareness creation and establishing ways of working

**Your skills and experience**
- An academic background in a technical field preferably related to data analytics paired with an MBA or proven track record in business
- Proven experience in data strategy development and implementation
- Background/work experience in data-driven business models, data analytics, SaaS, business platform/ecosystem type of business
- You understand the legal, processual, operational, and technological responsibilities that arise with the opportunities of data
- You understand the implications of data on business models and ecosystem strategies and work with other cross-functional teams towards a common goal
- Excellent visualization, presentation, and communication skills to drive internal and external interactions
- Business-level English is mandatory, applicants speaking German have an advantage
- Knowledge about the Building Industry and Digital Building competitive landscape, cloud technologies, SaaS business models, is beneficial

- A winning personality, able to collaborate effectively in global teams and exercise influence without formal authority in intercultural environments including all hierarchical levels
- Strong team player with excellent communication, negotiation, and mediation skills; change management experience would be beneficial
- Strong customer focus and strong intrinsic motivation to create customer value
- Big picture thinking paired with hands-on attitude and a willingness to dive deep into operational topics
- High degree of self-motivation, quick apprehension of new topics, ability to structure and drive topics also operationally
