In this position you are responsible to implement the strategy for the core area «Reducing Inequality in Education», in line with the new strategy of the Julius Baer Foundation (JBF), which has been developed by JBF’s Management and approved by JBF’s Foundation Board.

**YOUR CHALLENGE**:
**Expertise in Education**
- Is familiar with different aspects of education phases and familiar with global education programmes, priorities and trends
- Ability to assess the relevance and impact of projects in education (with a particular focus in Asia)
- Identifies and evaluates «Reducing Inequality in Education» proposals and ensures that JBF-funded projects have the potential to impact the education sector in a country
- Presents innovative and courageous education projects to different stakeholder groups (JB employees, JB clients, other Grant Foundations, etc.) around the world
- Evaluate and proposes 1-2 strategic collaborations with the purpose of «Reducing Inequality in Education» in a specific country
- Organizes together with JBF’s marketing team, education events that can be used to strengthen employee engagement within the bank
- Represents JBF in different education conferences and builds up a network with other Grant Foundations active in the topic.

**Administrates JBF’s **«Reducing Inequality in Education» **partners**
- Enters & manages all education ‘Applications’ into JBF’s project database _AidImpact _
- Defines ‘Milestones’ and ‘Key Performance Indicators’ for partner organisations
- Assesses all ‘Progress Reports’ (2 x p.a.), negotiates together with JBF’s partners all ‘External Evaluations’ (after 30 months) and organises 1-2 ‘Call-for-Proposals’ p.a.

**Contributes to the profile and growth of the Julius Baer Foundation**
- Make visible the topic of «Reducing Inequality in Education» by developing content
and supports the creation of visuals with other team members
- Is able to disseminate the topic and pitch projects to JB clients for donations

**Miscellaneous**
- Aligns his/her appearance within JB’s CI/CD
- Is willing to travel 6-8 weeks p.a.;
- Replaces _Senior Programme Manager for Wealth Inequality _during her annual leave

**YOUR PROFILE**:
**Musts**
- Holds a Master’s in education or equivalent
- 5+ years of professional experience as a teacher and/or in an organization (i.e. Grant Foundation) that is active in the education sector
- Has worked 5 years in a NPO that shows a core competence in education
- Has a strong ambition to develop the topic of «Reducing Inequality in Education» internally and externally
- Familiarity with global education systems (with a particular focus on Asia) and a good network within the education sector
- Is able to translate complex facts in a stakeholder-oriented language
- Fluency in English (speaking & writing)
- Is in the possession of a valid Swiss Work Permit

- Is already, or wants to become a ‘Thought Leader’
- Has a good knowledge about

- German, and an Asian language would be an advantage
