The Core Platform team at EF is responsible for the stewardship of the critical systems which enable EF’s global Tours division to successfully offer educational travel experiences to students. By providing expert tool support, troubleshooting, release management, and resolving system integration problems, the Core Platform team is central to our ability to run and scale the business. Key functions supported include Sales, Marketing, Travel, Finance, and Operations.

As an Engineering Manager, Release & Support Engineering, you will grow release management and operational support functions from the ground up and serve as a trusted advisor to the development teams on tool and process improvement opportunities.

**How You Will Contribute**
- Grow and lead a global, high performing team of support engineers providing an ever-watchful eye on the availability, latency, performance, and capacity of our most business-critical systems
- Resolve problems, determine root cause and business impact, propose long term prevention, and report on those activities.
- Prioritize fixes, enhancements, and maintenance work effectively based on business value, risk, urgency, and level of effort.
- Proactively recommend improvements to our tooling and processes, and documentation, to prevent business losses, and improve efficiency
- Facilitate, and continuously improve, the release process for our monolithic code base, including all planning, test automation, deployment, and governance concerns.

**Who You Are**
- 2+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure configuration and administration
- Experience with observability platforms such as Splunk, Datadog or New Relic
- Experience with scripting language(s) such as Python to automate routine tasks
- Demonstrated ability to drive reliability and performance across a diverse suite of technologies by mastering the full depth of the stack
- Deep understanding of CI/CD pipeline management and deployment methodologies (hands-on experience with TeamCity or Octopus a plus)
- Ability to effectively communicate and work collectively across project managers, developers, engineers, and stakeholders across all organizational levels
- Prior experience with Help Desk, Software Development, Release Engineering, Software Quality Assurance, or Systems Analysis a plus, but not required
- Willingness to resolve repetitive problems while figuring out systematic handling and prevention.
- Knowledge of object-oriented software development a plus but not required.
