Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich is located in the heart of the old town, within the main business centre, close to the city’s leisure attractions and a short walk from the shores of Lake Zurich. Set to open end of 2023, Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich will feature 80 guestrooms and suites and three dining outlets, comprising an all-day dining venue, a speciality restaurant, and a lobby lounge. The property is ideally placed for meetings and gatherings, and the renovation will enhance conference and event facilities, including a grand historic ballroom.

Under the guidance and supervision of the Head of the Department, the **Assistant Executive Housekeeper** will ensure that guest rooms and public areas are exceptionally clean, functional and inviting. In absence of the Executive Housekeeper, they will be trusted with the supervision of the housekeeping department and the team.

**Main Duties include**:

- Drives Quality Assurance towards MOHG standards
- Ensures smoothly run floors and impeccable guest rooms with attention to details
- Spot checks guest rooms and suites
- Provides Learning and Development for the department
- Enforces cleanliness of back of house areas
- Handles all guest request and complaints to ensure satisfaction
- Manages communication with colleagues, other departments, external partners and suppliers
- Actively reviews processes and drives changes and innovations
- Manages laundry & pressing services as well as uniform stock
- Completes department relevant administrative tasks
- Manages stocks, equipment, resources and costs
- Ensures compliance with budgets and goals
- Works on projects & special assignments
- Conducts team briefings & meetings
- Delights Guests & Colleagues to drive engagement
- Manages lost & found
- Other reasonable tasks may be assigned by the direct manager or a senior manager on duty

As Assistant Executive Housekeeper, we expect from you:

- Completed vocational training in the hotel industry and have previous experience supervising a Housekeeping Team
- Experience in a luxury hotel would be an advantage
- Good computer skills, ideally with a PMS knowledge
- Continuously searches for new and better ways to optimize the processes and improve systems
- Demonstrates an independent work ethic
- Provides “hands-on” support for the team, which includes but is not limited to handling of guest requests, room checks, cleaning tasks and other duties
- Possesses the drive and charisma to motivate and inspire others towards the achievement of common goals by appealing to their values, interests, hopes and dreams
- Demonstrates high standards and values by leading by example
- Demonstrates sensitivity to the needs as well as the cultural differences of others
- Demonstrates problem solving skills and ability to handle conflict situations
- Very good knowledge of German and English. Other foreign languages are advantegeous
