***About the role**:
The Portfolio Lead for the Small Molecule OpU (SM OpU) is responsible for the portfolio management of the OpU and arbitrates priorities through deep understanding of site and business requirements to supports sites on initiative definition and execution as per aligned strategy. Owns effective processes for improvements and assess execution performance including 12 sites. The role has a significant contribution on strategy execution and operations improvement and is key interface for global and site functions to drive value across PTRB:
This includes the establishment of the portfolio management function and related processes across functions and sites:

- ** Ensures effective portfolio management across the SM OpU network inc**l: Owning the annual MWB setting process aligned with goal setting process and arbitrate priorities, coordinate with stakeholders and identify conflicts to align priorities and resources allocation. Translating strategy and support implementation incl. site master plans. Working with sites to develop an appropriate 'change' structure/strategies to cover both 'Operational change (yield, OEE, Prod, cost savings)' & 'strategic change (NPI, major Capex, divestment, IT systems etc)' ensuring the right balance.
- ** Owns Operations improvement programs**:Business/ Operational excellence, end to end Supply Chain, Data and Digital, and People, Culture and Change representatives to achieve SM OpU AGILE goals.
- ** Acts as point of contact/ interface stakeholders**: Interface with sites Agile, Network Strategy, Operational Excellence, Global Supply Chain, MSci, Engineering, HR, Other OpUs, Procurement, Global IS/IT
- ** Provides tailored support incl. operational and business case development for the OpU.**

**How you will contribute**:
**Owns processes to execute rigorous governance transforming SM OpU**
- Through the annual MWB setting process arbitrating between sites and above site functions on the various projects which are proposed (from both site and above site) and coming to agreement where there is conflict on the appropriate priority
- For adhoc initiatives coming from global functions post MWB setting process plays key role in understanding sites capability to deliver 'adhoc initiative' and arbitrate between site and global function if required to ensure reasonable timing and resource level for 'adhoc initiative'. Assists in arbitration for new initiatives which may offer varying levels of value for different sites.
- Owning processes for operations improvement and strategy implementation including monitoring of transformation initiatives conducted, escalation to SM OpU leadership team when needed.

**Provides tailored level of support on**
- Operational and business case development for the OpU including Business Excellence activities.
- Part of product lifecycle management in coordination with POL (if any) and sites.

**Key OpU Point of contact for interfaces**
- Acting as point of contact dedicated to aligning priorities, resource allocation and to share initiatives coming from all stakeholders (e.g. Supply Chain, SBE incl. Agile, Business Excellence, engineering, quality).
- Contributing to governance meetings for initiatives management
- Enacts strategic approaches and leverages network relationships that manages, improves, and aligns Takeda’s demand forecasting process, methods, and actions.
- Coordinate global Business excellence initiatives and support initiatives roll-out to sites.

**What you bring to Takeda**:
**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field. Desirable: Master’s degree in related field

**Experience**:

- 10+ years manufacturing experience ideally in the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing environment is a must with experience working in a manufacturing site and LSS practical expertise.
- Significant experience leading transformations/change management for a global organization Previous leadership experience with matrix cross-functional experience.
- Hands-on experience of the Business Excellence function with functional expertise for program/ project management (e.g., milestones, KPIs settings), change management and risk management.
- Demonstrated experience in analyzing a wide variety of data to make process improvement decisions and prioritization.
- Strong business acumen & financial analytics skills to enable decision making.
