**Job Description**:
We offer an exciting, global role that combines product focus with commercial strategy. You will join the Business Development Initiatives team (BDI), to actively support our growth in Life & Health reinsurance (L&H). You will work in 2 primary areas:

- Help develop new L&H (re)insurance products & services, working directly with insurers, PartnerRe experts, and external partners. Our focus is on solutions with global potential.
- Lead global, commercial L&H reinsurance initiatives: setup and execution to help improve our value proposition and the effectiveness of our market teams.

For area #1, you will:

- Help build new L&H reinsurance propositions or retail products, together with our market experts, partners, and clients. You will co-lead the actuarial part, as well as the overall product development and project;
- Leverage local product/service innovation to a global level. Identify, promote, and develop knowledge bases, best practices, and excellence;
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide product and expert views, ideas and recommendations that will drive our growth efforts globally.

For area #2, you will:

- Actively support global and regional efforts to extend our value proposition to drive sustained growth in net income. Develop new partnerships on innovative topics and/or across regions;
- Help our commercial teams to identify and assess market gaps and needs. Conduct market research and evaluation of (re)insurance offerings to deliver new, sustainable, and relevant ideas;
- Help coordinate how we manage international insurers and/or brokers. Monitor key success factors to advance our commercial practices, recommending improvement actions. Support the Head of BDI on shaping and advancing the team’s contribution to L&H strategy and results.

You will need core technical/professional skills, as well as initiative, problem solving and empathy. You will identify opportunities and issues collaboratively and deliver tangible results that matter to our clients and internal stakeholders.

**Qualifications**:
To be successful in this role, you bring the following qualification and experience:

- Life & Health (re)insurance product development experience (5+ years) and technical understanding. Strong preference for Qualified Actuary with pricing and product development expertise, proven in their track record and knowledge across multiple markets
- Knowledge of pricing, distribution, underwriting journey. Ambition to find the next great product or service that delivers value to customers and recognition to PartnerRe.
- A curious, analytical, creative mind to own the project, from ideation to product/actuarial execution and overall proposition development. High degree of autonomy and agility, as part of a small team. Ability to deal with ambiguity and abstraction.
- Ability to translate concepts into tangible action plans. Ability to communicate, align resources and get things done through influencing with peers and seniors
- Comfortable in an environment where ideas are shared, challenged, and can change often. Active listener, bring energy and a real desire to contribute to a high-performing team that helps the business unit achieve great heights together

Helpful if you have/are:

- Project management skills - for business, not IT, initiatives
- Product manager skills - in the (re)insurance industry
- A cross-functional, global network (or ability to build one quickly)
