**Financial Reporting & Analysis Intern (100%) / August 1, 2024 - January 31, 2025**
**The Job's Mission**
Within the Finance & Accounting department, the mission of Controlling is to provide our top management with detailed financial analysis, excellent business insight, scenario planning & Business Performance reporting to support sound decision making and help reaching the company’s objectives.
We aim at establishing a sustainable and efficient business partnership, with client departments across IMD to gather and provide qualitative financial information.
As a Finance Intern, you will have the opportunity to partner on key projects in one of the finance functions. In addition, you will be able to experience the atmosphere of being part of one of the most prestigious business school worldwide.
**Key activities & accountabilities**
Financial System (50%)
- Work with Controlling team to gather business requirements and in partnership with IT department to build necessary data infrastructure and pipelines to support Controlling reporting, data, and analytics needs.
- Support the Controlling organization in utilizing and leveraging Financial Force and Sales Force System during Closing/Forecasting and Budgeting activities.
- Participate to the development of an automated reporting process that covers metrics as well as financial results and connects the two in an appropriate and accurate manner.
- Standardize and automate existing Controlling reports, metrics, and dashboards to support the design of new financial/business reporting packages for senior management.
- Assist in all phases of testing and provide hands-on training to end users on Financial Force. Develop documentation for delivered solution.
Financial Analysis (30%)
- Supporting Controlling Team by developing recurring variance cost analysis for selected departments.
- Consolidate CAPEX reporting and support the Head of Controlling on regularly updating the Cash reporting (Working Capital Variances)
- Support the Controlling team with ad-hoc analysis as necessary
- Prepare timely monthly reporting with variance analysis
Process and Compliance (20%)
- Maintain and regularly review Delegation of Authority Matrix into Sales Force System
- Maintain and document current and new system process flows

**Ideal Profile**
**Education**
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
- Currently enrolled in for Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics or similar
**Competencies**
- Passion for Data and for turning Data into Insights
- Ability to work with large amounts of information and see the ‘bigger picture’
- Comfortable with juggling facts, figures, and number crunching
- Communication skills, both written and oral
- Critical thinking
- Proactive and highly organized not afraid to ask questions, be continuously curious and inquisitive.
- Team player with ability to function well independently when appropriate
- Advanced Excel and MS Office skills in general. Any other systems knowledge strongly desired as well as programming capabilities (SQL).
- Fluent in English (minimum C1)
- Conversational French a plus
- Self-motivated, results focused.

- Structured, strong planning skills
