As a branded company, our intellectual property portfolio is of great importance to the Lotus Bakeries Group. In this role, based in Baar, Switzerland, you work closely together with our IP Counsel in the management of this worldwide portfolio.

- Brand protection is key in this role. This means that you provide assistance in terms of protecting, defending and enforcing Lotus Bakeries’s trademarks, designs, copyrights, domain names and related aspects.
- You advise the business on appropriate IP protection in case of new brands or rebranding projects.
- Liaising with external partners, you follow up on all prosecution work, handle administrative litigation on IP matters and gather evidence in administrative as well as infringement procedures.
- You align the trademark/design portfolio with business plans through (yearly) analysis of renewals and portfolio to remedy potential gaps.
- You take part in the anti-counterfeiting program to protect Lotus Bakeries’ interests by, amongst others, preliminary assessment of reported copycats, follow-up on actions taken, keeping track of all copycats reported, etcetera.
- You also further standardise our IP management through the trademark evidence database, creating IP related templates and onboarding packs for the business.
- Creating awareness about brand protection among our internal business stakeholders as well as effectively enforce IP rights is also part of your responsibility.
- We will also count on you for the daily management of standard IP-related topics, knowledge management and general research on current and future relevant changes in legislation and regulation.
- In addition, you also support the team in reviewing and negotiating commercial (non-IP related) contracts as well as in advising the internal stakeholders on advertising related topics.

**Profil**:
To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have:

- A Master’s degree in Legal Studies, combined with a specialization in intellectual property law.
- A prior experiene in general and/or soft IP.
- A first experience at a top-tier International Law Firm, a trademark attorney office or an inhouse role would be considered a strong plus.
- A warm personality that combines strong social skills and team-orientation with a pragmatic, hands-on approach to problem solving.
- A focus on results through excellent execution, treating deadlines with high priority, and an above-average attention to detail.
- Clear analytical skills on top of a curiousity to learn and good organizational talents.
- An excellent mastery of English, both written and spoken.
