Head Supplier Development

A global leading Swiss industrial group with headquarter in the eastern part of Switzerland is seeking exclusively through us the Head Supplier Development & Quality Assurance.

We are looking for a German-speaking international supply chain leader who is comfortable working and communicating in a very dynamic and cyclical demand environment.

Tasks

As Head Supplier Development & Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for executing and driving supplier development and part qualifications across the Group and you will act as a technical escalation key leader for technical guidance and expertise to help resolve supplier quality issues.

You will secure a high level of performance in the global supplier relationships ranging from domestic to global needs. You will lead a team of highly motivated and qualified Supplier Development Engineers and be responsible for the following tasks:

- Ensure the development and maintenance of supplier technology capabilities (process and product) in support of current and future supply chain and sourcing strategies
- Enhance supplier relationships by supporting the build-up and delivery of corrective actions as well as continuous improvement plans and roadmaps
- Determine risk associated with identified issues and determines disposition promptly to support requirements
- Establish performance targets and/or goals in compliance with the Groups business and operations objectives, including vendor quality management dashboard
- Deliver robustness throughout the Groups supply chain including sub-tier suppliers

**Requirements**:

- Solid leadership and Supplier Development experience in Switzerland including supplier assessment, supplier audits, and component qualification using PPAP
- Technical university degree (mechanical/electro); knowledge of plastic injection molding & tooling, metal stampings & tooling, metal fabrication, machining, etc. including full assembly integration
- Able to interpret mechanical drawings; experienced with using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience / qualification / training / certification on ISO9001, 14001 /TS16949
- Experienced in statistical analysis of component and process quality including Process capability studies (Cpk), Design of Experiments (DOE), gage repeatability and reproducibility (Gage R&R), and statistical tolerance stack-up analysis
- Experience in audit process as auditor or lead auditor, strong analytical and investigational skills
- Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementation and management of continuous productivity and cost reduction programs
- Solid German & English language skills
