Join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping the crew recruitment landscape for the Africa region within the cruise industry
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Maritime Studies, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in maritime recruitment, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of maritime regulations and industry-specific requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cultures and regions.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing successful teams.
- Ability to travel within the Africa region and occasionally internationally.
- Fluency in English; additional languages relevant to the Africa region are a plus.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive crew recruitment strategy for the Africa region in alignment with the company's overall objectives.
- Analyze market trends and competition to ensure the company remains competitive in attracting top talent.
- Collaborate with senior management to define recruitment targets, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Lead a team of recruitment professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure a high-performing and motivated team.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively and ensure proper workload distribution among team members.
- Establish and nurture relationships with maritime training institutions, crew agencies, and other relevant stakeholders across the Africa region.
- Oversee end-to-end crew recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding of crew members across various positions (nautical, technical, hospitality, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with relevant maritime regulations, industry standards, and company policies during the recruitment process.
- Lead the development of effective assessment methods to evaluate the skills, experience, and cultural fit of potential crew members.
- Implement innovative techniques to identify and attract top talent in a competitive marketplace.
- Monitor and analyze recruitment metrics to track the efficiency and effectiveness of the recruitment process.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management on recruitment outcomes, trends, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Identify areas for process improvement within the recruitment function and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Experience in vendor Management (Agencies)
- Knowledge of Africa Region
