Casino Personnel Manager

The Casino Personnel Manager is responsible to manage the manning requirements of the Casino department, liaising with Crew Department to implement the needs of the operation, with special focus on the hiring quotas, rightsizing, dynamically adjusting PAR levels to control costs while maximizing revenue opportunities and scheduling the staff to have the best positive impact.
- Fluent in English, any other language is an advantage;
- In-depth knowledge of Casino Operations in the Cruise industry with strong knowledge procedure and training skills;
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments to achieve shared goals;
- Excellent communication, diplomatic and organizational skills;
- Ability to work under pressure with time sensitive deadlines;
- Tactful, with the confidence to deal with difficult situations;
- Good budgeting, IT, and communication skills.
- Managing staffing levels based on budgeted par level, season, region, events and other operational demands to maximize revenues and minimize costs, considering language skills, nationality mix and gender breakdown;
- Actively participate in the recruitment process for Casino staff, having clear benchmarks in partnership with Crew Talent Acquisition to drive MSC standards and meet quotas;
- Provide accurate and objective assessment of onboard Casino personnel;
- Support, guide and advise onboard management on each vessel. Discuss any areas of concern and similarly address points of commendation;
- Explore with management ways of improving current working practices, whilst at the same time meeting staffing constraints, audit requirements etc;
- Assess work schedules in relation to actual opening hours and potential business hours, reviewing written schedules and ensuring that staffing is utilized to the best possible end;
- Develop, identify, coordinate, and facilitate training programs to ensure compliance, staff development, career advancement readiness and strategic alignment with business goals;
- Research and develop training methods, techniques, manuals, multimedia visual aids and other educational materials used to ensure we are up-to-date on developments within the industry;
- Create effective customer service procedures, policies and standards that promote a positive guest experience environment.VISA REQUIREMENTS (if any)
