- Under the leadership of the Global Head Anti-Falsified Medicines CoE, this role will actively contribute to the implementation and enhancement of the Novartis Anti-Falsified Medicines program in Europe and the Middle East destined to combat pharmaceutical crime and protect patient safety through timely detection and reporting of incidents, create the conditions to bring counterfeiters and illegal traders to justice in or-der to preserve Novartis reputation, business innovation growth and productivity.
- Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Be responsible for the delivery and implementation of the objectives and deliverables toward the Roadmap endorsed by the Global Anti-Falsified Medicines Working Group.
- Plan and agree strategic Anti-Falsified Medicines priorities (i.e. market monitoring, online enforcement, customs enforcement, criminal enforcement, civil enforcement), maintain visibility of investigations and Operations and manage projects, such as customs recordals, risk mapping and product verification in close collaboration with PharmINT & Forensics team.
- Review, triage and investigate (risk-based) lines of inquiry from multiple sources (e.g. both from internal/external stakeholders) into incidents of suspected falsified Novartis products.
- Ensure overall consistency of the enforcement operations (Police, Customs, Municipality, Health authorities) undertaken. Coordinate local and transnational enforcement cases in close collaboration with the Global Security Intelligence Unit (GSIU). Ensure that an effective collaboration takes place, for each enforcement case, with the key internal business stakeholders (e.g. Legal, QA, NCA, Comms, etc.).
- Champion professional dedicated Training & Awareness activities (as per the agreed strategic plan) with Novartis associates and external stakeholders, e.g. Police, Customs and Health authorities, to raise awareness about the Novartis Combating Falsified Medicines program. Drive thought-leadership across industry to position Novartis as best-in-class in the Anti-Counterfeiting area in Europe and Middle East.
- Operational collaboration with key partners and relevant industry associations, regulatory and government authorities and non-government organizations at national and international level, to develop anti-counterfeiting advocacy, engagement and awareness opportunities as well as intelligence sharing (e.g. Interpol, WCO, WHO, PSI, UNODC etc.).
- Provide quality assurance for cases records in the global security case management system to ensure accurate, reliable and up to date monthly, quarterly and yearly reports, measuring KPI’s covering the full operational spectrum.

**Minimum requirements**
- Bachelors/Master’s degree or equivalent in criminal law, intellectual property law and/or international security.
- 10+ years’ experience in product security, law enforcement, brand protection and/or anti-counterfeiting in Europe and/or the Middle East, preferably in the Pharmaceutical or related industry
- Strategic mindset with the ability to simultaneously coordinate several projects, investigations and enforcement operations involving a multitude of stakeholders.
- Familiarity with relevant competent authorities and relevant industry associations is desirable.
- Knowledge in local laws and country regulations.
- Acting with high integrity, results driven with a strong eye for business and impeccable communication and collaboration skills. Ability to evolve seamlessly in a matrix environment.
- English is mandatory. Additional regional languages or dialects is desirable.
