Company Description
MET International AG (METI) was established in 2010 in order to consolidate and develop MET Group’s international natural gas sales and purchase portfolio, as well as to establish a trading arm for commodity lines.
METI is responsible for providing highly competitive supply structures to its gas and power sales affiliates, optimizing its power generation assets, managing the LNG portfolio, and trading around international positions.
**Job Description**:
Main responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong counterparty and trading relationships to enable MET’s ability to trade the full potential of our portfolio whilst maintaining long-term business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Support the sourcing and negotiation of structured Gas deals in Central Europe (with a focus on Germany, Austria and Switzerland) with wholesale and industrial energy market participants
- Develop, structure, and execute physical and financial deals with MET subsidiaries and support the local origination
- Expand flow business and improve the market access
- Provide relevant market intelligence information to relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Actively coordinate among teams, namely Finance, Credit, Risk, Treasury, etc
- Remaining informed and up to date on market trends and regulatory changes within the industry

**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, or similar
- At least five years of experience in Energy Markets with specific and relevant experience in the Gas origination business, a clear and proven track record of origination and execution
- Knowledge of energy market dynamics, risk management best practices, and standard product
- Strong analytical skills and commercial drive to achieve PnL objectives
- Strong customer focus approach to business, networking, and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in German and English essential
- Teamwork and training remain a pillar of the trading desk’s growth, commitment to teamwork and a supportive attitude to colleagues is essential
