**The Opportunity**:
As our successful **Head of Ethics & Compliance Corporate Functions, PDT BU**, you will be in a vital role within the **Global Ethics & Compliance Function.**
Here you will help Takeda realize our guiding principles of encouraging ethical behaviour and shared responsibility among all employees. This is turn empowers Takeda’s unwavering commitment to patients.
**Responsibilities**:
- Member of Communications, Corporate Affairs and Patient Advocacy Leadership Team and the PDT BU E&C Leadership team.
- Lead the E&C Program Implementation as a Business Partner to HR, Finance, Legal, and the Strategy & Execution Office at PDT BU.
- E&C advisor with overall responsibility for the PDT BU E&C Program. Embed the PDT BU E&C program into existing processes, systems and workflows to effectively manage company risks and align with regulatory obligations (monitoring, policies and procedures, learning initiatives, risk assessment, case management, Program Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool, GEARS).
- Lead E&C alignment projects with other E&C Officers and Corporate Affairs in the geographies where PDT is present.
- Drive the Takeda Values Journey to shape the PDT BU’s organizational mindset around Takeda’s Values of Takeda-ism and Patient-Trust-Reputation-Business including firmly embedding ethical decision-making principles.
- Design the E&C Learning Curriculum and Communications plan, using the RITE model, aligned with the overall PDT BU communication plan.
- Lead PDT E&C Governance initiatives, working closely with the PDT BU Strategy & Execution Office and the PDT E&C team, to embed E&C controls across the PDT BU.
- As Risk Coordinator for PDT BU, lead the regular Enterprise Risk Assessment process in collaboration with PDT LT and PDT E&C LT. Manage the global TERA reporting tool.
- Lead the PDT E&C risk assessment process including the Risk/Activity database and PDT E&C Risk Register.
- Lead E&C investigations for PDT BU Corporate Functions. As needed, work in close alignment with the Global Investigations Team, with the HR team on matters of local labor law and disciplinary actions, and with Legal on matters of legal interpretation/legal privilege.
- Lead ethics by design across business projects with the Head of E&C, Data Privacy and Tech Ethics PDT BU and the global TRUST team, including the use of the Takeda AI Principles, the Data Privacy Policy and the IFPMA guidance on the ethical use of data and technology.
- Support the Data Privacy Program at PDT BU and work with the Head of E&C, Data Privacy and tech Ethics, PDT BU to align across all elements of the E&C Program, including, but not limited to risk assessment, policies, learning efforts and case management.
- Oversee the Takeda case management (EthicsPoint) for PDT BU including root-cause and trend analyses, disciplinary actions and report-out to relevant PDT RECC members.
- Secretary of the PDT BU RECC (Risk, Ethics & Compliance Committee) consisting of the PDT BU LT. Work directly with the PDT LT members to drive program and risk-based agenda topics, instruct them on how best to prepare materials for, and lead on topics during the meeting. Periodically lead discussions with the PDT RECC on key topics.
- Use the PDT BU Program Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool to assess current state of controls and the E&C program overall on a regular basis.
- Establish a mechanism for tracking and following up on remedial action for the PDT LT on outcomes of bi-annual PLM outcomes, ad hoc audits, quarterly monitoring, investigations, and risk mitigation measures.
- Co-lead on E&C topics for initiatives at the industry association level through the Plasma Protein Therapeutics Association (PPTA) including projects related to policy shaping with the PDT BU Corporat
