**Job Description Summary**:
This key role will be responsible for creating, shaping, optimizing, and driving all aspects of the Global Generators Supply Chain landscape aligned to the business product line strategy for new units and services to position this space to deliver maximum value for the customer grounded in operations excellence driven by safety, quality and fulfilment, and overall cost and value for the Gas Power business in terms of margin expansion and exceeding customer requirements. Specifically, this role involves driving strategy and execution of critical high-level make-buy commodity/equipment decisions including the optimal locations to make or source all classes of generators from Aero to Air, Hydrogen and Water-cooled systems and key strategic and technology-driven components within these systems. This leader will foster collaboration and decision-making across a diverse cross-functional team including factories, sourcing, P2V, services, materials, commercial, quality, product line, and engineering to lead and facilitate key Global Supply Chain Board decisions and subsequent execution aligned to the macro product line strategy and a governing global supply chain part family commodity strategy.
**Responsibilities**:

- Lead a customer-centric commodity strategy for the Global supply chain that is optimized around Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost for maximum supply chain velocity.
- Drive new much-needed shifts within the Supply Chain to support the product family strategy
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders in Product Line, Commercial, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Product Line, and Engineering to pull together cross-functional evaluations, solutions, and decisions
- Catalyze transformative modelling and scenario reviews for the future supply chain In line with the business make-buy strategy
- Complete detailed, process mapping of global value chains, factories and supplier core competencies
- Analyze critical KPIs of Safety, Quality, Fulfilment, Landed Cost, Lead Time, Cash, Margin, Investment, Liquidation, P&L impact and NPV using standard work and tools to evaluate and drive a decision. For services ensure preservation of key IP to deter aftermarket competition for maximum margin expansion
- Active involvement in emerging new technologies to ensure that the future value streams can deliver competitive advantage and provide flexibility to support the overall product strategy of the business.
- Drive allocation strategy for the business in line with a customer-centric strategy
- Level 1 Project management of any transfers or other critical initiatives; driving the execution of critical milestones
- Ideate, generate, collaborate with key cost-out partners to transform this space for design harmonization, qualification of best cost locations, piloting new options and overall industrialization to deliver maximum cost advantage
- Partner with product line to shape the product catalog
- Partner with product line and commercial to review the pipeline of opportunities to ensure supply chain readiness
- As required, conduct and support supplier negotiations and exits and the development of the demand plan

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
- Strong overall experience in supply chain, product line, operations, sourcing or engineering pertaining to this commodity, or something closely related. Technical or operational expertise in Generators preferred. Prior experience with should-cost modeling, cost out, technical or operations roles, materials planning, lean, financial analysis.

- Strong oral, written and interpersonal influencing and leadership communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
