Drives the extensive acceleration of the PCV Vaccines Franchise across the Company region and ensures state-of-the-art launch execution in each key market, with proper tracking and scorecard metrics.

**Description**

The Executive Director, International Sotatercept Marketing will lead key aspects of launch operations realization with a regional focus for Sotatercept, a late-stage asset acquired through the acquisition of Acceleron. This is a business-critical role that will be instrumental in helping the Company build a leadership position in the PAH/PH therapeutic category and contributing to establishing cardiovascular as a key growth driver for the Company. Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension is a rare disease with a high morbidity and mortality impacting patients and their loved ones. Despite a multitude of approved therapies, unmet need persists and there is widespread consensus among payers, clinicians and patients that more treatment options are needed to improve the management of this debilitating disease. Company’s ability to make a meaningful impact on this disease for patients and their loved ones will be influenced by the leadership and vision of this role.

The Executive Director will also provide commercial input into pipeline development efforts across PAH/PH to help support growth and leadership in the Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Hypertension therapeutic areas. The incumbent will play an important role in supporting the commercial transformation and leadership of our launches, including new ways of working, embedding advanced analytics, evolving the commercial models and building value for patients, payers and Healthcare professionals.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

- Develop, lead and implement the operational launch plan across key regions to optimize launch realization
- Act as a key contributor to building the Sotatercept commercial model / Go to Market model with a regional focus, identifying potential synergies and areas of required differentiation to maximize launch potential
- Key member of the Sotatercept Global Commercial Team (GCT) responsible for co-creating strategic branding elements with major markets
- Partner with global and local markets to facilitate the development of strategic plans that are operationally feasible and optimized
- Act as the regional lead for Sotatercept Enterprise efforts including Project Etoile and overall regional launch readiness
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Regional Commercial Leads (RCL), medical, policy, outcomes research, access, advocacy, etc.) to achieve shared Sotatercept objectives
- As a key leader in the International Marketing Group, this role will create organizational excitement, momentum, confidence and focus in Sotatercept and the PAH/PH portfolio
- Collaborate with Global Marketing Colleagues to invest in each other’s development, build a culture of inclusivity and challenge the status quo for the purpose of creating stronger outcomes

**Position Qualifications**:
**Education Minimum Requirement**:Bachelor's Degree

**Preferred Education**:Advanced Degree (MBA)

**Required Experience and Skills**:

- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience across marketing, sales, corporate strategy, business development or related experiences in pharmaceutical or other life sciences industries
- Prior launch experience preferred.

- Collaboration & Influence without authority: Strong collaboration skills, both within commercial teams and cross divisional teams including R&D and manufacturing, medical affairs, Outcomes Research and Access
- Communication: Ability to clearly articulate messages/information across the enterprise and to all levels, including highest levels of senior leadership
- Understanding of Drug Development Process (Early and Late Stage)
- Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to analyze complex data and create clear patient and customer centric strategies
- Challenging Status Quo: Ability to push past internal obstacles to drive initiatives forward
- Rare Diseases: Brand leadership experience in PAH or other rare diseases
