**Job Description**:
A rare opportunity has arisen for a Manager, Finance Operations EMEA. The Manager Finance Operations role will cover a broad range of finance topics in an evolving and fast paced environment, and will have exposure across the business a the highest level. It grants strong exposure to senior management, other departments within the organization and external stakeholders.
**Job Purpose**:
This role will play an integral part for the finance operations function of Canada Goose in our EMEA organization, which consists of various subsidiaries and branches. This role manages a team of two senior level direct reports, and reports into the Senior Manager Finance Operations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Statutory Accounting and Reporting
- Establish and manage processes and working relationships with all (external) local statutory accountants and tax advisors across Europe
- Supervise, manage and critically review local accounts being prepared by external service providers
- Ensure all statutory accounts are filed in time
- Support the tax department in preparing financial information for corporate income tax filings in all EMEA jurisdictions
- Group reporting
- Subject matter expertise on IFRS - strong understanding of IFRS, being able to advise on technical accounting matters and prepare accounting memorandums
- Help prepare and comment/analyze financial information for senior management (e.g., periodic CFO review of EMEA region)
- Establish a sound process for B/S reconciliations and analysis
- Audit liaison
- Operationally coordinate
- the IFRS group audit of Canada Goose’s EMEA operations
- Statutory audits of all EMEA legal entities and branches
- Reduce overall statutory closing time to 4 months after the group period end
- Help to ensure all critical audit deadlines are met and each audit is conducted in an efficient manner
- Prepare audit documentation
- Finance operations
- support with the set up of new legal entities from a finance perspective - including proper set up in D365 and understanding all local statutory tax and accounting requirements
- Periodic contract review and other operational matters
- Project work
- Includes continuous improvement projects as well as major initiatives in line with our company’s goals
- Internal Controls
- Maintain and develop strong business controls & processes to support the EMEA operations of Canada Goose
- Ensure SOX compliance and control documentation. Ensure it is kept up to date for scoping, testing and remediation of all key control activities
- Play an active role in the EMEA internal control landscape including implementing and/or redesigning controls
- Team Leadership
- Hire, train and retain competent staff
- Collaborate cross departmental to ensure efficient and effective workflows and procedure
- Day-to-day supervision and management of your direct reports, including development and performance evaluations and delegation
**Experience, Education and Designations**:
- Bachelor / Master's Degree in Finance
- Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA, CPA, Swiss CPA or similar)
- Strong experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Minimum 4 years work experience
- Previous Big4 experience would be an asset
- Curious mindset and hands on work mentality
- Strong ERP system experience - preferably Microsoft Dynamics (D365)

- Strong interpersonal communication skills for interacting with management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
