Corporate - Global Communications Manager 6-9 Month

**About the role**

This role is a maternity coverage for 6-9 month. During that time you will participate in the development, management, and execution of the global communications strategy for Amcor’s Engagement agenda.

The role mainly focuses on internal and strategic communications. This role also supports external communications from time to time (customer, media, community, regulatory) communications.

**Key Job Accountabilities**
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy, with a primary focus on the following audiences: Leaders, Co-workers, Customers
- Establish and nurture relationships at various levels throughout Amcor, Corporate, regions, factories and functions to build strong, up-to-date awareness of priorities and challenges to identify needs and opportunities for global internal communications activities
- Serve as an employee voice - identifying needs, finding solutions, and executing carefully crafted project plans in response
- Manage change and cultural shifts - ensuring successful and well communicated transition programs
- Execute global internal communications activities including high-quality written and visual materials (ie: plans, articles, videos, presentations, messaging, digital and physical collateral, Q&A,)
- Plan and execute global employee events on a yearly basis (eg. Outperformance Awards, employee survey, etc.)
- Manage day-to-day co-worker communications, such asnewsletters, internal announcements, intranet content, etc., and communications content calendar.
- Manage supporting communications and creative agencies, ensuring consistent branding and identity across deliverables
- Actively contribute in raising awareness of Amcor’s engagement, DE&I, sustainability and growth agendas
- Contribute to crisis communication and issues management, as required
- Close collaboration with Corporate Communications on company-wide initiatives and projects
- Work closely with the Corporate Communications team, business group and functional communications leaders and other stakeholders as needed.

**Qualifications/Requirements**
- University degree in communication, marketing, business administration
- Minimum of eight years communications experience, with exposure to global corporate communications
- Exceptional communication skills - written, spoken, presentation, interpersonal
- Event Management experience advantageous
- Strong project management skills in order to plan work, meet deadlines, establish clear priorities quickly and bring projects to completion on time and within budget
- Ability to coach business stakeholders on best practices in communications
- Strong internal communication experience with exposure to change management communication
- Some media relations and/or public relations experience desirable
- Fluent in English; other languages a plus
