Oil and Gas Co is a leading and dynamic player in the commodities industry known for our innovative approach and commitment to delivering exceptional results. We are seeking a skilled and visionary Head of Trading. As the Head of Trading, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our trading strategies, driving profitability, and contributing to our overall business growth.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and execute trading strategies in alignment with the company's objectives, risk tolerance, and market conditions.
- Lead and manage the trading team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to ensure optimal trading outcomes.
- Monitor and analyse market trends, economic indicators, and geopolitical events to inform trading decisions and seize opportunities.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key market participants, including clients, and regulatory bodies.
- Oversee risk management and ensure compliance with global trading regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices.
- Drive innovation and stay updated with industry developments, implementing cutting-edge tools and techniques to gain a competitive edge.
- Analyse trading performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management, identifying areas for improvement and growth.
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, and executive management to facilitate trade transactions and resolve inquires promptly.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certification (CFA, FRM) is a strong plus.
- Proven track record (10+ years) of successful trading experience in commodities markets.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a trading environment, including team management and performance optimisation.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, trading strategies, and risk management practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence decision-making.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure trading environment.
- Sound judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities to make informed trading decisions.
- Knowledge of global trading regulations, compliance, and market surveillance.
- Proficiency in relevant trading software and platforms.
- Proven ability of stakeholder engagement and management.
- Ability to communicate and present at all levels, including internal teams, board/senior management.
- Ability to prepare, understand, present and manage financial data.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and manage a broad team.
- Excellent attention to details is crucial in trade execution, documentation and maintaining accurate records.
- Familiarity with trade capture, client onboarding, and credit risk systems.
- Strong sense of urgency with ability to multi-task heavily.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a significant field.

Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or similar.

Experience in managing and trading a diverse range of oil products.

Previous experience in a leadership role within a trading desk.
