We are now looking for a new colleague to join us in this exciting mission The role of **Deputy Customs and Compliance manager** leads and manages activities, projects and people with respect to import, exports and customs compliance for IKEA Supply AG (ISAG), IKEA Food Supply AG and wholesaler subsidiaries, together with Global Customs and Compliance Manager, Regional customs teams and key stakeholders. This role is a main contributor towards global customs and trade strategies and roadmaps aimed at securing high levels of compliance while maintaining operational excellence. Position is a permanent and contributing member of the Customs Global Management Team.
**Job description**
Your responsibilities will include:

- Together with ISAG Global Customs and Compliance manager drive the import, export and customs compliance functions and business by contributing to defining strategies and roadmap initiatives, framework development and maintenance and action planning
- Secure functional expertise is developed and maintained within the global organization by providing training and education materials specific to global, regional, and local customs regulations and ISAG ways of working
- Create and maintain assigned Customs Framework and associated documentation. Contribute towards creation and maintenance of Supply Chain Development Frameworks
- Through the Frameworks secure efficient and effective operational controls to internal and external rules and regulations are in place and adhered to throughout centralized processes, regional and local assignments
- Provide functional expertise to key stakeholders regarding supply chain security programs and AEO certification requirements. Maintain ISAG AEO program and support local and regional teams in their AEO audits and recertifications
- Plan and manage customs audits, either initiated by external customs authorities or through internal self-audits
- Support regional and local customs teams to maintain operational excellence through securing optimal import/export set up and by optimizing the use of permissions, simplifications, and certifications
- Provide management, leadership, and oversight towards the use of external service providers. Includes the development, maintenance, and accountability towards standard key performance indicators (KPI) and metrics. Secure broker management is in place locally and regionally

**Qualification**
To be successful in this role, we believe you need to have:

- Previous work experience in import and export industry from a global and/or regional environment
- Proven ability to build compliance into the operations and business
- Strong communication and negotiation skills and previous experience in dealing with government authorities
- Eager to learn and you like going in depth in various topics and you are keen to know Why
