Our specialty rare disease products are marketed directly by Recordati Rare Diseases in Europe, the Middle East, the U.S.A., Canada, Russia, Japan and Australia, in some Latin American countries, and through selected partners in other parts of the world.
Highly trained specialists and a scientific support team are available to collaborate with doctors, healthcare professionals, patient groups and families, to help improve the quality of life for people with rare diseases. Recordati Rare Diseases is committed to supporting families affected by rare diseases through the research and development of new therapies and the distribution of specific scientific knowledge throughout the medical community.
**Role responsibilities**
Based Basel, Switzerland you will be reporting to the Head of Finance for RRD and dotted line to the VP of LAC Region for Rare Diseases. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations within the LAC region and manage a team of finance professionals. Your expertise and leadership will be essential in guiding the team towards achieving our financial objectives. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Lead and manage a team of finance professionals in the LAC region, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- In charge of the Budgeting, Forecasting and Long Range Plan processes in coordination with the business regional functions
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the LAC organization, supporting decision-making processes
- Oversee the finance financial reporting for the LAC region, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, analysis, and consolidation of financial statements.
- Identify key financial trends, variances, and areas of improvement, and provide actionable insights to drive performance.
- Coordinate with external auditors and ensure compliance with audit requirements and timely completion of audit processes.
- Monitor working capital, providing recommendations to optimize financial resources and mitigate risks.
- Stay updated on relevant accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices, and proactively communicate any changes to the finance team.
- Develop and mentor the finance team, providing guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Sales, Operations, and Legal, to support strategic initiatives and drive business growth.
- Be an active member of the Finance Global Rare disease Leadership Team
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A master's degree or CPA qualification is preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably as a Finance Regional Controller or a similar global/regional position within a pharma multinational organization.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards (IFRS, US GAAP).
- Experience in leading and managing finance teams, providing guidance, and driving performance.
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools (ERP, SAP, Hyperion, etc.) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong Business acumen, proactive and with agile mindset
- Ability to work collaboratively, multitask, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English and French with proficiency in additional languages being advantageous.
