Manager Financial Reporting and Emea Controller

**Position Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Direct supervision of an accounting team of 2 persons in Switzerland - that includes Accountants.
- Direct supervision of an accounting team of 2-4 persons in Dubai - that includes Accountants.
- Supervision of the day-to-day or closing booking activities in general ledger including but not limited to sales, SG&A expenses, cash, A/R, A/P, and other accruals.
- Evaluation of specific business transactions for proper accounting treatment.
- Review of local payments batch following the process from the Gerald Group.
- Development of accounting policies and procedures in accordance with IFRS and ensure compliance on a global basis.
- Management of local compliance and accounting filling in both Swiss and Dubai offices, including local tax returns, European VAT returns, local VAT returns and other required reporting; involving work with European and local tax consultants in regional offices to ensure all reporting is timely, accurate and in compliance.
- Coordination with the US Management and the Head of Tax on tax/accounting compliance matters and work closely with the internal Legal Department as well as other functional areas.
- Preparation of the monthly, quarterly or annual reporting to the Gerald Group in accordance with IFRS.
- Development, implementation, upgrade and maintenance of appropriate internal financial systems, controls and safeguards, and provide training to functional departments on internal control activities to ensure a strong internal control environment.
- Assist in the preparation of information for Gerald Group Consolidated annual audits and coordination to external and internal parties under IFRS as required.
- Preparation of standalone company annual statutory financial statements and reporting under local GAAP (i.e. UAE or Swiss); including managing standalone audit requests with external parties.
- Participate to special projects and assist in other duties as required.
**Requirements**:
- Master’s degree in Finance & Accounting or equivalent qualification.
- Any diploma in controlling and data analytics is an advantage.
- Minimum of 4 - 6 years financial reporting and/or private accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of IFRS
- Strong technical research skills and the ability to summarize and communicate research results effectively in written and oral form.
- Good knowledge in General Ledger systems and any ERP with a preference to MS Dynamics.
- Working knowledge of all MS tools such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Dynamic personality who is willing to grow at the same pace as the organization.
- Ability to travel 50% of the time to Dubai office
- Commodities experience a plus
- Experience managing people /staff / advisors
