Insurance - Structured Trade Finance Associate

**Position Summary**:
Gerald Metals is seeking an Associate who will be responsible for mitigating risks associated with the Group’s finance and structured finance portfolio through the use of insurance and similar products. This role will focus supporting the Group’s business development, structuring, finance, trading and credit teams with the appropriate insurance products and oversee origination, implementation, and monitoring throughout transaction lifecycles. Additionally, this role is responsible for Developing relationships with brokers, underwriters, and other financial institutions in the field to further support the Group’s capabilities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Identifies and structures appropriate Risk mitigation products for various exposures of the Group, with a focus towards structured trade finance.
- Origination, implementation, monitoring and reporting of insurance products throughout full transaction lifecycle.
- Coordinates closely with other departments to ensure all requirements and policies of the Group are met in the most appropriate and cost-effective manner.
- Develops and manages relationships with external institutions, including attending industry events, meetings, and presentation preparation as required.
- Special projects and additional responsibilities as required by senior management.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field
- Master’s Degree preferred
- 5+ years total of insurance experience (trade credit / PRI) and structure finance
- Experience in commodities preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work on-site 5 days a week
