In this impactful role you will have an opportunity: • Deriving strategic implications of economic, market and competitive events for ABB and developing recommendations for action. • Monitoring, reporting, and interpreting performance and strategic actions of ABB competition, including quarterly benchmarking. • Updating top management on key events and trends in ABB’s strategic operating environment via regular written updates and presentations. • Providing reference economic and market outlook data, which also serves as input to ABB’s short and long-term planning and performance management. • Enabling knowledge sharing and collaboration for ABB’s distributed strategic intelligence network • Negotiate cross-unit/frame agreements with external data and intelligence providers. • Recruit, train and develop junior team members.Qualifications for the roleTo excel in this role, you will bring the following qualification and experience:Master’s degree in a relevant field, e.g. Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering7+ years of relevant work experience, e.g. in corporate strategy, competitive and/or market intelligence or strategy consultingExperience in economic, market and competitive analyses and/or commercial due diligence a strong plusProven ability to quickly solve complex problems in a pragmatic manner, incl. framing/planning, synthesis, and communicationExperience in engaging and working with senior management, and skills to convince senior leaders in an insightful mannerAbility to effectively guide and leverage large stakeholder networks across different levels, functions, and countries without formal reporting relationships,Proactively prioritize and make tradeoffs in a semi-quantitative environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills (English)Good understanding of industrial space and ABB’s marketsAbility to thrive in dynamic, international and increasingly digital work environmentMore about usWe value people from different backgrounds.
