Tasks

Your new role

You will be part of a small but excellent team that takes care of the complete development platform for our customer projects, some of which are highly sensitive.

In your role as system administrator, you will ensure the stable and secure operation of the infrastructure, the applications and the services that we offer our customers and projects. You will work closely with the development teams and the security office.

In addition to the daily operational activities, you will also have the opportunity to use your experience in expanding and further developing server infrastructures. You will also be able to actively participate in projects.

  • You are a creative doer who wants to deepen their skills in a modern infrastructure. Your proven experience in the virtualized IT world and your ability to quickly find your way in unfamiliar situations help you to master demanding challenges.
  • You enjoy troubleshooting complex, linked and multi-layered applications and you find the necessary challenges that make life interesting.
  • You have a degree in computer science with a focus on platform development or a comparable education. Ideally, you have a higher professional qualification or certificates that confirm your skills.
  • With your open mindset and the will to develop further together with a team, you are the perfect addition to our team.

Mandatory requirements:

  • You are a Swiss citizen or at least hold a B residence permit.
  • You meet the requirements for the extended personal security check according to Article 11 (PSP11).

Knowledge and experience in the following topics are essential:

  • Working in a team and sharing knowledge is in your DNA.
  • The holistic operation of an IT infrastructure is not new to you.
  • You are familiar with server virtualization using VMware and Hyper-V.
  • You have already administered physical Cisco switches and firewalls.
  • Terminal server and remote desktop are not foreign to you and you have at least worked with them before.
  • You are familiar with the Linux world. Because Ubuntu and RedHat are not foreign words for you.
  • You have already worked with IT operation tools, ideally with Lansweeper and PRTG.
  • You speak and write German fluently and can also communicate well in English, both in writing and orally.

Experience in the following areas completes your profile:

  • You have already come into contact with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, SVN or Git.
  • Automation and deployment with Ansible, Microsoft MDT or MECM are not completely unknown to you.
  • You have already gained experience with 2FA solutions such as Airlock.
  • Database server administration of MySQL, Postgres or MS SQL Server.
  • You have already come into contact with security management systems such as Tenable, ELK or Splunk.
  • You have already gained experience in setting up VMWare Clusters.
  • You have already had a hand in a hyper-converged infrastructure, e.g. Cisco HX or Nutanix.
  • If you have already worked with virtualized networks, this is an added advantage.
  • Your French allows you to communicate.
