Senior AI Data Engineer with Azure experience

We are looking for a professional with a solid foundation in data engineering, advanced analytics, and experience in Generative AI to help us drive forward our AI initiatives in Basel, Switzerland.

This role is essential in connecting our local client teams in Switzerland with our delivery hub in Skopje, North Macedonia, ensuring seamless project execution and fostering effective cross-border collaboration.

Job requirements:

  • Experience with data warehousing and data modeling concepts
  • Proficiency with Azure Cloud and Databricks
  • Knowledge of Big Data processing and analytics frameworks such as Spark, Hadoop.
  • Experience with graph databases
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Plotly, Tableau)
  • Knowledge of LLMs, Gen AI tools and hands-on experience developing GenAI solutions.
  • Expertise in Python web dev frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, Django needed for seamless AI model deployment
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning frameworks, and natural language processing
  • Hands on experience including related certifications with Azure AI services
  • Strong experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration and management
  • Proficiency in German, English, and Macedonian is essential for facilitating effective communication between our Swiss clients and the delivery team based in Skopje.
  • Any other certificate is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely on-site with clients to gather requirements and co-develop solutions, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with our delivery hub in North Macedonia.
  • Translate client requirements into technical solutions and architectures
  • Leverage advanced Azure AI tools, Generative AI models, and deep learning frameworks to create innovative AI-driven solutions.
  • Design and manage data pipelines using Spark and Databricks, transforming raw data into actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with the team to integrate AI solutions into scalable, high-impact applications.
  • Develop visually impactful reports and dashboards using Plotly and Tableau, enabling data-driven decisions for our clients.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development and deployment of AI and data solutions.
  • Deploy and maintain reliable infrastructure focused on Kubernetes, Docker, and Cisco networking, supporting continuous integration and delivery.
  • Serve as a technical bridge, ensuring clear and productive dialogue between vector8’s delivery team and client stakeholders.
