Senior Technical Author - Aircraft SBs and Maintenance Manuals Join to apply for the Senior Technical Author - Aircraft SBs and Maintenance Manuals role at Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. Responsibilities Authoring descriptive, operational and procedural data modules or page blocks to ASD S1000D and iSpec 2200 specifications, from engineering reports, 2D drawings, 3D models. Lead author on required projects, coordinating with external authoring support and internal engineering departments. Production of service bulletins and maintenance manuals for all Pilatus aircraft. Liaising with the illustrating team for graphical support. Coordination with Pilatus departments for Design Organisation Authority approval of all technical publications. Maintaining task tracking processes to ensure on‑time delivery. Qualifications Electrical or mechanical apprenticeship, formal technical training, or equivalent hands‑on aviation maintenance experience. Minimum 8 years experience as a technical author writing aircraft technical documentation to ASD S1000D and iSpec 2200 specifications. Primary experience in AMM authoring with knowledge of SBs. Familiarity with Arbortext Editor, Oxygen Editor, Adobe FrameMaker and Microsoft Office suite and working within a Common Source Data Base (CSDB) environment. Strong knowledge in the use of ASD Simplified Technical English. Fluency in English (C1) with good communication skills; knowledge of German is an advantage.
