Project :
For our customer Roche Diagnostics International AG based in Rotkreuz we are looking for an MSAT Automation Engineer (m/f/d).

Background :

As an Automation Engineer, you will be part of the Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) Automation Chapter. You will support production in the Sensors and Cartridges (S&C) Operations area in several areas. On the one hand, by ensuring support for the ongoing production of sensors and reagents production. On the other hand, you will support the project teams for capacity expansion projects. In addition, you will take on a crucial role within the chapter, where you will provide comprehensive support as an expert in the area of automation and system integration/expansion. Here you will be heavily involved in defining technical requirements and working out detailed specifications. Furthermore, you will coordinate and implement changes to equipment and systems. Together with the team, you will be responsible for software management and ensure the software lifecycle of the production systems as well as production-related quality control (QC) applications. You will be part of a highly qualified team of +13 engineers who look after the entire Sensor & Cartridges product portfolio; cobas b123 & cobas b221 sensors, classic electrodes, reagents, including QC.

The perfect candidate has completed training or further education in the field of automation and at least two years of professional experience in the field of automation technology and/or MES. Knowledge of PLC, PCS and MES systems is required.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
* Independently working with various PLC systems to perform changes to improvement projects, maintenance work
* Direct support in troubleshooting and problem solving for PLC automation systems in coordination with electricians, IT, etc.
* Performing corrective and preventive actions to improve the PLC systems
* Supporting maintenance activities related to all PLC automation systems on site
* Supporting commissioning activities from an automation perspective (e.g. expansion projects, improvements or modernization projects)
* Creating various lifecycle documents (software design specification, hardware design specification, functional specification, work instructions) and keeping them updated and accurate in a GMP environment
* Reviewing the performance and lifecycle management of the servers for user management, backup management and audit trail. Regular communication with the IT support team

Must Haves:
* At least completed training or further education in the field of automation or a comparable field
* At least 2 years of professional experience in the field of automation technology and/or MES
* Knowledge of PLC, PLS and MES systems
* Professional experience in a strictly regulated environment, advantageous in the GxP environment or IVD area
* Professional experience in project collaboration is an advantage
* Very good knowledge of German and English is required
* Interdisciplinary know-how, Industry 4.0
* Quick comprehension and analytical approach
* Questioning conventional thought patterns
* IT knowledge/network technology
