Senior Director, Sales& Marketing (operational role)

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary : 

Plan, organize and direct the Sales & Marketing functions to meet or exceed the defined sales, profit and market share goals and growth objectives through direction and motivation of the team. 

Initiate and develop strong business relationships with key customers and influencers to maintain / develop existing business and capitalize on new business opportunities. 

Establish effective management processes and drive the execution of sales and marketing plans.

Play a critical role in strategizing regarding the direction of the Company’s business operation, engaging employees, achieving financial goals and maintaining the highest standard of compliance. 

Geographic scope is International.

Main accountability:

  • Responsible for researching and developing marketing opportunities and planning and implementing new sales and marketing plans;
  • Identify new opportunities for market expansion; 
  • Analyze budgets, preparing annual budget plans, scheduling expenditures, and ensuring that the sales & marketing team meets their quotas and goals;
  • Drive development and implementation of business-centric marketing strategies;
  • Lead efforts for market outperformance and competitive advantages based on deep customer and competitor understanding;
  • Manage activities related to product positioning, segmentation, targeting, and branding, ensuring alignment with marketing objectives;
  • Direct creation and deployment of marketing campaigns to clients / distributors within compliance guidelines;
  • Maintain relationships with important clients by making regular visits, understanding their needs, and anticipating new marketing opportunities;
  • Stay current in the industry by attending educational opportunities, conferences, and workshops;
  • Partner closely with global and cross-functionally to ensure that the overall portfolio strategy aligns to the needs of international markets;
  • Lead and coach a S&M team, plans for the teams’ future needs and operations, and builds and develop team engagement.

Skills/Qualifications:

Qualifications:  

- Master’s degree or above in business, management, sales, or related field.

Experience:

- Minimum of 10 years’ sales experience with at least 5 of those being in the pharmaceutical/medical device industry.

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in first-line Sales and Marketing Manager roles, leading a team of people.

- Demonstrable experience in understanding, interpreting & managing financial reports / budgets / sales forecasts is essential. 

Essential Skills and Abilities: 

- Strong business and financial acumen, strategic thinking and problem solving skills on complex issues. Strong analytical, numerical, creative and conceptual thinking skills;

- Proven track record of success in sales/marketing management; 

- Appropriate gravitas for the seniority of the role but also hands-on;

- Ability to maintain confidentiality, specifically relating to financials and customer information;

- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure within strict deadlines. Strong personal management skills including time management, workload prioritization, responsiveness, multi-tasking and flexibility;

- A real team player who will relate well to colleagues and will seize the opportunity to develop good relationships with them. Receptive to the ideas of others;

- Strong leadership qualities and strong interpersonal, motivational and influencing skills;

- Works with a spirit of continuous improvement and innovation, creatively open to new ideas and methods. Genuine passion and enthusiasm for sales, marketing and the Medical Aesthetics market;

- English - excellent communication skills, both written and oral, other languages is a great plus;

- Excellent skills in MS Office, CRM.
