About the Role:
Experis SA is looking for a passionate and skilled Application Support Engineer to work with one of our key clients, a major leader in the energy market. In this role, you will work closely with Traders, Asset Optimizers, Analysts, and the Middle Office, providing essential support and tools that keep their trading activities running smoothly.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain small applications to meet business needs.
- Support existing applications, proposing solutions to optimize and improve their performance.
- Advise and guide users on their own development projects, promoting best practices and sharing your expertise.
Your Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Expertise in Python, with experience in Pandas being a plus.
- Very good level in Java and VBA Excel.
- Experience in trading, banking, or finance environments (essential).
- Experience in software engineering and providing 1st or 2nd level support for business-critical applications.
- Hands-on experience in Linux and Windows administration.
- SQL query writing skills.
- Additional skills such as Schematic, Java, AWS Cloud Services, Bash scripting, or Full Stack development are a plus.
- Knowledge of R, C#, Selenium, Outlook VBA is helpful but not required.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to quickly identify and solve issues under pressure.
- Languages: Fluent in English; French and/or German are an advantage.
