For our client, a leading biotechnology company, we are seeking a Senior Logistics Specialist.General Information:Start date: ASAPEnd date: 1 yearExtension: likelyContract: temporary contract via RandstadWorkplace: Baar, Zug Workload: 100%Working hours: Standard Task & Responsibilities:Manage distribution and logistics activitiesSupervise and manage operational D&L activities – including monitoring inventory levelsWork closely with global supply chain and PO&T functions to ensure logistics executionManage FG shipments, invoicing, shipping deviations and sales & inventory reporting and regular issues resolution meetings with cross functional stakeholders (e.g. Finished Goods Planning, Quality, Commercial, Finance, S&OP, Packaging, Engineering)Identify and communicate any shipment risks to management, support recommendations and implementation of corrective actions to minimize supply risks and work within the defined quality and compliance framework (f.e. SOX, GMP & GDP)Monitor inventory levels and changing supply chain dynamics to anticipate and plan logistics activities, understand internal and external business drivers and use this understanding to accomplish own workAnalyze cross functional and logistics processes and identify/ implement solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of the supply chainCoordinate and manage continuous improvement activities across D&L and in collaboration with other GSC pillarsTrain and provide guidance in all areas of distribution and logistics within and outside D&LRequirements:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. Lean Six Sigma/Green Belt is an asset.Minimum 3 - 5 years working experience in a Logistics role with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical industryExperience within an international and regulated environment is requiredStrong analytical, problem solving and communication skills (excellent written and verbal communicator with the ability to articulate recommendations and key decision points to senior management)Demonstrated experience reducing complex subjects to key points. Ability to work in fast paced environments and great organizational skills to effectively balance a broad range of projects and tasks in parallelExceptional team player (ability to direct and participate in cross functional and management teams). Ability to develop a strong network across the companyProject Management experience and ability to work in cross-functional teamsExperience with Supply Chain tools, preferably: Oracle, Hyperion, PowerBI, TrackWise, SAPSounds interesting?
