Director, Recruitment (EMEA) - Pharma / Biotech / Medical Device & CRO at Planet Pharma Job Title: Direct Sourcing Specialist Rate: Competitive in line with skills / experience Location: Switzerland or Poland My client, a global organisation currently seek a talented Global Sourcing Specialist to join the organisation. This role will play a key part in shaping and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and supporting category management and contract lifecycle activities across multiple direct spending categories. Key Responsibilities Support Global Sourcing Managers and leadership in developing and implementing sourcing strategies aligned with corporate objectives and supply chain KPIs. Lead sourcing efforts for assigned commodities (e.g., contract sterilization, manufacturing and engineering services, test and calibration, accessories, and customized off-the-shelf items). Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost reduction, risk mitigation, and service enhancement. Manage assigned categories end-to-end, applying the Source-to-Contract (S2C) process. Develop and maintain market intelligence and supplier insights to inform business decisions. Drive value improvement initiatives through analytics, data-driven decision making, and business intelligence tools. Your Profile 3–5 years’ experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Strategic Sourcing. Proficiency in SAP procurement and logistics transactions, including data extraction and analysis. Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies, procurement best practices, and contract management. Federal Diploma or equivalent qualification in a technical or supply chain field required; a Bachelor’s degree is advantageous. Proven ability to deliver measurable results through effective sourcing strategies. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision‑making skills. Understanding of manufacturing principles, new product commercialization, and related processes. Experience in the medical device industry and familiarity with ISO 13485, cGMP, and regulatory standards is an advantage. Interested?
