Job Description
Join a leading Global Medical Device Company as a Global Direct Sourcing Specialist and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of sourcing strategy worldwide. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to support critical procurement initiatives across multiple categories, driving cost efficiencies, supplier partnerships, and innovative solutions that align with the company's strategic goals. If you have a passion for strategic sourcing, analytics, and working in a global, cross-functional environment, this is your chance to make a tangible impact on a pioneering organization committed to advancing healthcare.
This is an initial 3- 6 month temporary contract with the possibility for extension.
Required Skills
- 3-5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Strategic Sourcing in life-sciences.
- Strong understanding of sourcing methodologies, procurement policies, and best practices
- Experience working with SAP procurement/logistics systems and data extraction
- Excellent analytical decision-making skills and proactive problem-solving ability
- Proven ability to negotiate contracts and develop supplier relationships
- Solid understanding of supply chain principles, market intelligence, and vendor management
- Fluency in English; additional EU languages are a plus
- Ability to work independently in a virtual environment and travel as needed
Nice To Have Skills
- Experience in the medical device industry, particularly with ISO 13485, cGMP, or GMP standards
- Knowledge of new product commercialization processes
- Familiarity with sustainability and ESG initiatives within supply chain management
- Previous experience supporting product development, engineering, or manufacturing departments
