Position Overview The Market Development & Fundraising Innovation Team (MD/FIT), part of the Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP) Division, is seeking a consultant to coordinate team communications and develop the community of practice—an essential aspect of the MD/FIT strategy. The consultant will focus on supporting the Fundraising Innovation Program and will strengthen the facilitation and implementation of support workstreams for UNICEF fundraising directors and fundraisers globally. Scope of Work Under the guidance of the Fundraising Innovation Manager, the consultant will support the following tasks: Community of Practice Coordination Plan and deliver a community engagement action plan, including managing fundraising innovation webinars, training and events. Mobilize active participation and facilitate the ongoing exchange of knowledge, ideas, updates, tools and collaboration opportunities across members and sub-groups. Communications Coordination and Delivery Plan, source and support the production of/FIT communications materials and assets, including case studies, briefs, landing pages and community posts. Oversee the mapping, auditing and quality control of MD/FIT content on internal systems and external platforms, and implement continuous improvement plans. Planning, Monitoring and Reporting Lead the planning, monitoring and reporting activities related to implementation and progress of the MD/FIT Communications and Community Engagement Action Plan. Support general fundraising innovation program delivery, including ad‑hoc requests in coordination with other teams. Work Assignment – Deliverables Effectively implement the community engagement action plan, conducting at least four quarterly webinars or events. Coordinate Innovation initiatives and thematic sub-groups, tracking progress and documenting action points. Produce and distribute communication assets, including key messages, briefs, reports and case studies. Review internal communication systems and innovation platforms, proposing optimization measures. Develop, regularly update and maintain the annual fundraising innovation community engagement and communications plan, including monitoring metrics and reporting mechanisms. Consultant’s Workplace and Travel The consultant will work remotely/home‑based. Travel may be required on a per‑need basis and will be reimbursed in accordance with UNICEF travel policy. Qualifications Education A first‑level university degree (Bachelor’s Degree) in Communications, Journalism, Innovation, Marketing, Business or a related field. Knowledge, Expertise and Skills Excellent facilitation and community‑building skills with proven experience in leading global initiatives, online events and knowledge sharing. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct comprehensive studies and develop high‑quality case studies and reports. Experience in creating and disseminating engaging, knowledge‑sharing content across multiple platforms and channels. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of fundraising and/or innovation in a development context (preferably in UNICEF) is an asset. Language Requirements Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) is an asset. EEO Statement UNICEF is an equal‑opportunity, affirmative‑action employer.
