Consultant (12 months, home-based): Community Engagement and Communications Consultant, Division of Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP) UNICEF is looking for a consultant in Geneva, Switzerland to support global fundraising initiatives. Overview As part of the Market Development & Fundraising Innovation Team, the consultant will coordinate communications, develop the community of practice, and support fundraising innovation. Responsibilities include community engagement action plan, communications coordination, and planning, monitoring and reporting. Responsibilities Coordinate and deliver the Community of Practice for Fundraising Innovation, including planning, logistics and follow‑up of webinars, trainings and events. Facilitate knowledge sharing, manage sub‑groups, and maintain engagement across the network. Lead the planning, sourcing and support of MD/FIT communications materials and assets, ensuring timely distribution. Oversee mapping, auditing and quality control of content on internal systems and external platforms. Plan, monitor and report on the implementation of the Communications and Community Engagement Action Plan. Support general fundraising innovation program delivery and respond to ad‑hoc requests. Deliverables Four (4) quarterly webinars or events with participant engagement and post‑event reporting. Regular meetings for innovation initiatives and thematic sub‑groups, with action points tracked. Communication assets such as case studies, briefs, progress reports and other required materials. Review of internal communication systems and proposal for optimisation. Annual fundraising innovation community engagement and communications plan with monitoring metrics. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Innovation, Marketing, Business or a related field. Excellent facilitation and community‑building skills with proven experience in leading global initiatives and online events. Strong analytical skills and the ability to create high‑quality case studies and reports. Experience creating and distributing engaging knowledge‑sharing content across platforms. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of fundraising and/or innovation in a development context, preferably in UNICEF, is an asset. Fluency in English required; knowledge of another UN language is an asset. Additional Information The consultant will work remotely from home. Travel may be required on a per‑need basis and will be covered separately. Consultant is responsible for visa, health insurance and vaccination requirements.
