Business Process Excellence Expert
For my client – a globally renowned biotech company in Neuchâtel, Switzerland – I am seeking an experienced Business Process Excellence Expert to join their innovative team on a 1-year contract with high potential for extension.
As a Business Process Excellence Expert, you will play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement and optimization of site business processes across all departments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze, redesign, and implement enhancements, leveraging lean management, Six Sigma, and innovative technologies to achieve increased agility and simplification in operations. Your expertise will facilitate the transformation and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise in business process management and modeling, ensuring alignment with business process architecture.
- Map and document current processes, identifying inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
- Redesign processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve adaptability.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate technologies such as AI/ML and automation into workflows.
- Design systems that streamline repetitive tasks and improve decision-making capabilities.
- Develop metrics and KPIs to monitor and iteratively improve process performance.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with business processes.
- Lead organizational change management to ensure effective implementation of process changes.
- Communicate changes and benefits effectively to foster buy-in and seamless transitions.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Essential:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or operations management, focusing on business process optimization, continuous improvement, and Lean methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
- Proven success in implementing process improvements and managing cross-functional projects.
- Strong financial and business acumen with experience in identifying efficiencies.
- Proficiency in digital tools such as Power BI, RPA, and AI/ML technologies.
- Excellent project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in French and English.
Desired:
- Master’s degree (MBA or M.Sc.).
- Familiarity with manufacturing software (e.g., SAP, MES, Minitab) and business process management tools.
- Experience in pharmaceutical cGMP, regulatory compliance, and quality systems.
Practicalities:
- Location: Neuchâtel, Switzerland
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract Duration: 1-year contract with high potential for extension
- Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required.
- Work Environment: Site-based role, requiring interactions with manufacturing teams and cross-functional departments.
